Colleges and institutions in the US and many other nations across the world utilize the SAT as a standardized entrance exam to determine admittance. The majority of the SAT's questions are multiple-choice, although there are a few that require written responses. The College Board is in charge of its creation and management. The SAT is an essential tool for assessing a high school student's preparation for college. It gives colleges a unique data point to use when deciding who to admit out of all of their candidates. Along with the high school grades, AP examinations, extracurricular activities, personal essays, letters of recommendation from professors, and admissions interviews, the SAT is taken into account. In the months of March, May, August, October, and December, the SAT is given. For the overseas students, the new Digital SAT would add two more testing days. Students may take the exams in any of these months and as many times as they choose over the testing year, which is now five and will increase to seven with the introduction of the Digital SAT.
